It was an absolute joy and pleasure working on this very special commission for my friend of 20 years (!!!), Melissa. Almost as soon as I announced that I was starting my business, Melissa was one of the first people to hype me up. She has been a constant support through this journey and I was SO honored when she asked me to create her Save the Dates for their upcoming nuptials!

After taking a look at her inspiration photos - dark and wintery, deep berry colors, gilded accents, romantic and chic - I sent over a sketch and started painting. I used some of the flowers I painted as assets to accent the backside of the postcards. We settled on a modern layout for the text and date, which I think contrasts wonderfully with the more delicate florals in the background.

It is always so wonderful to play a little part in such a big day for one of my closest friends!
