I think I could write a novel about my connection to my sweet, sweet pal Nicole (the face behind Ampersand Textile & Design) and how much joy her mere presence brings me, but unfortunately, I don’t have enough space here! Just believe me when I say she is the most wonderful human and damned intelligent and thoughtful creator and I can’t wait to do more work together (more on that soon!).

Nicole reached out for some botanical illustrations for some plant seed packets that she is putting together for her work at Modest Transitions (work for which I did, which you can check out here!) up in Fishtown. She requested 4 specific illustrations of plants that she uses to make natural inks and dyes - coreopsis, marigolds, sunflowers, and amaranths.

I really enjoyed the simplicity of these pieces - it’s made me itch to work on and practice my line drawing in the near future!
